I am a Sri Lankan who is living in New Zealand with my family, I have been practising meditation for about 5 years. My teacher is a Sri Lankan Monk. I try to be mindful in everyday activities, I do mindful sitting and walking meditation as well. I listen to recorded dhamma sermons from my teacher and found they are very similar to Pema Chodron’s. Hope this summit brings some light to my practise, Thank you! with Metta Latha

I’m a busy mom of two boys, have a job that i love, and have a very full life. I feel as though our family “races” from one thing to the next, with little time left to just Be; either with eachother or with our selves and thoughts. I am hoping to learn info and strategies to help shift our gears to a slower pace, and to become comfortable with being present with what is now versus orienting always to a future moment.
I also am looking to become more mindful in my parenting, and to model this for my kids.
